Having lost trust in men, Satya Devi consented to marry a guy who proposed a pact- a pledge to refrain from meddling in her affairs, to fulfill her every wish, and to remain her lifelong husband without expecting anything in return. She found the arrangement appealing, perhaps enjoying the idea of having control over her life while having a toy-like husband to deflect the criticisms of society, which had branded her a spinster.
Then, one day she realizes that her man has slowly crawled into her heart, inch by inch, climbing up piece by piece, and sat on the throne in its center as he ruled however he wanted.
It troubled her extremely.
As she attempts to unravel the puzzle, to understand how he possesses such intricate knowledge about her- details that no one else has ever known, not even herself- she inadvertently uncovers his truth, which shatters her world.
